Musit Privacy Policy

Musit is a piano practice app. This policy explains what information Musit handles in the current iOS beta release.

Summary

Musit does not collect, sell, or share personal information from the current iOS release. Your profiles, practice settings, imported scores, MIDI input, and practice activity are processed locally on your device.

The current iOS release does not use voice AI, speech recognition, microphone recording, advertising, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking.

Information Stored On Your Device

Musit may store the following information locally on your device:

Student profile information you enter, such as display name, learning goals, preferred genres, notation comfort, hand span, feedback preference, profile notes, and optional profile image.
App preferences, such as score display options, metronome settings, loop settings, rhythm count settings, and recently used practice state.
Imported or opened MusicXML scores and related local practice state.
MIDI input events while you use a connected keyboard or MIDI controller.

This information stays on your device unless you choose to export, share, back up, or otherwise transmit it using system features or third-party services outside Musit.

Bluetooth and MIDI

Musit asks for Bluetooth access so it can discover and connect to Bluetooth MIDI keyboards and adapters.

Musit uses MIDI input to power practice feedback, score following, and keyboard interaction. MIDI input is processed locally and is not sent to Musit servers in the current iOS release.

Files and Web Browsing

Musit can open MusicXML files and includes tools to help you find compatible sheet music online.

If you use the in-app browser or open third-party websites, those websites may collect information according to their own privacy policies. Musit does not control third-party websites.

Voice AI and Microphone

The current iOS release does not include voice AI, microphone recording, or speech recognition features. Musit does not record your voice or send voice audio to any speech or AI service in this release.

If voice AI features are added in a future release, this policy will be updated before those features are made available.

Analytics, Ads, and Tracking

Musit does not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies in the current iOS release. Musit does not track you across apps or websites.

Data Sharing

Musit does not sell personal information. In the current iOS release, Musit does not share your personal information with third parties.

Retention and Deletion

Local data remains on your device until you delete it, remove profiles or files inside the app where supported, or uninstall Musit. You can also manage files and app data using iOS system features such as Files, device backups, and app deletion.

Children

Musit is a general-audience piano practice app. The current iOS release may allow users, including younger students or their parents, to enter profile information such as a display name, piano experience, learning goals, and preferences. This information is stored locally on the device and is not sent to Musit servers in the current iOS release.

Musit does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 online. If online accounts, sync, analytics, voice AI, or other server-based features are added in a future release, this policy will be updated before those features are made available.

Changes

We may update this policy as Musit changes, especially if online, account, analytics, sync, or voice AI features are introduced. The updated policy will be posted with a new effective date.
